A classic in Japan, Hojicha is a roasted green tea consisting of tea twigs and leaves. As tea branch cells produce very little caffeine, Hojicha is lightly caffeinated. The roast attenuates the astringency typical of Japanese exports. Hailing from Kagoshima, this organic lot has a solid body with notes of honey and tobacco. A soothing hot cup or thirst-quenching cold brew.
